KIDS PROGRAM
160,000 kids will miss school today due to bullying. Here at Guardian Mixed Martial Arts, we make it our duty to Bully-Proof as many children as we can. By using Jiu-Jitsu we build confidence and discipline to make our students leaders and role models so that we not only empower kids to stop bullying, but to emotionally build up a child so that they will not have the need to bully.
LIL' NINJAS (Ages 3-7)
Depending on the age and maturity level some kids can start as early as 3 years old. Attending what we call our Lil' Ninjas class, kids participate by not training Jiu-Jitsu, but by playing Jiu-Jitsu. Disguising our lessons in game format, we are able to teach our youngest students movement, coordination, and focus.
Level 1 Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 7-13)
Whether your child is just starting out their martial arts career or has just graduated from our Lil' Ninjas program, they will begin in our Level 1 Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program. In this class, only the most effective techniques are taught to the students with an emphasis on self-defense. Along side technique, our students learn when, and when not, to utilize physical techniques, but also learn our Verbal Jiu-Jitsu so that they can avoid the fight before it ever starts.
SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS
Level 2/3 Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 7-15)
Once your child has graduated with a yellow belt, our Level 2 curriculum starts to introduce intermediate techniques, along with rules and tactics for the sportive aspect to our art. After earning an orange belt our students continue on to Level 3, and start to the more advanced techniques, as well as, refine existing knowledge.
KIDS MUAY THAI TEAM (7-13)
After graduating Level 1 Jiu-Jitsu, students are given the option of attending our Kickboxing Team's practice. Due to the nature of Muay Thai which teaches punches, kicks, elbows, and knees, we first require our students to graduate from our Level 1 Gracie Jiu Jitsu class. This class is only taught as a sport, and not as self-defense. For more information on Muay Thai, please refer to our Muay Thai section.
LEADERSHIP TEAM (Ages 8-13)
If your child has the aptitude to naturally lead and teach others, we highly encourage you to enroll your child in our Leadership Program. Leadership Team members attend basic level classes and help the instructor manage the floor. By doing this, our junior instructors build not only confidence, but nurture a natural leadership ability that translates into everyday life. After all, every child has the potential of being our future police officers, doctors, mayors, or even President. * All Leadership Team members are required to keep a satisfactory GPA and are held to a higher standard of character off the mat.
