A lot of people feel that when they come to a boxing class, that they are expected to square off with an opponent. This simply isn't true at Guardian. Of course, if you are looking to compete, we can get you there as well, but our standard boxing classes are geared toward people looking to get or stay in shape, along with learn a very valuable discipline.

So, now that you know what our Boxing Class is all about, feel free to contact us soon to try out your free class!

Our "Toe To Toe" Boxing Class starts with the students lining up. Then, the class will continue with a very vigorous stretching regimen. Then an above average workout is engaged. This workout is much more vigorous than most of the other classes we offer. The reason is because in boxing, your endurance is an absolute must. Next, all students will gather around the instructor, who will teach the students a particular offensive or defensive technique or position. And at that point, the students will work either with the instructor himself, or a partner. We have a lot of different equipment that the students will work with. Be it punching bags, focus mitts, jump rope, or etc. Each class will have a specific focus. Once this is over, another workout will be given. Then, the instructor will call time, and then everyone is excused from the mat or ring.

* For those who wish to either spar, or get prepared to compete, the next hour after class will be for sparring live. Only those who wish to participate are allowed. This is NEVER mandatory.
Our "Toe To Toe" Boxing Program is different than most boxing gyms. We train our students in levels. You start at Level 1, then work your way up to Level 5. When you first start our Boxing Program, you will learn the more basic techniques, positions, and combinations. As you come to more classes, you will progress to higher levels, and thereby learn and work more difficult techniques, positions, and combinations. You will receive awards for the higher levels of training.
Boxing, or pugilism, is one of the oldest physical contact sports known in the existence of history. Many ancient civilizations have records of the sport. Some say they can find evidences of boxing as early as 1500 BC and 3000 BC. Which in easy language, says that Boxing has been around for some time.

The differences between boxing of old, and today are vastly different. From the styles, rules, and garb warn, to the consequences in which a fighter must endure victory or defeat.

Boxers in the past did not have the luxury of head gear, hand wraps and mouth pieces. We take this for granted now, but in ancient times, this was a much more brutal spectacle.

The rules of boxing have changed dramatically from the vast rules of today. The fights were not divided into rounds, and defeat could have meant something much different. In many cases, a Knock Out or death was required for a victory.

Modern day boxing is much different. There are man enhancements, rules and regulate ions that make this a much more entertaining sport, without the common chance of a great injury or worse. It is necessary for modern boxers to wear protective head gear and gloves when training.

Be it Amateur or Professional boxing, enthusiasts and fighters alike are assured of some pretty stiff and exciting competition.
